1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of chronitionpublication.co.in (the "Site"), operated by Chronition Publication ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing the Site, creating an account, placing an order, or submitting a manuscript, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. About Chronition Publication
Chronition Publication is an academic publishing house producing books in political science, history, geography, and economics. Through the Site, we (a) sell published books directly to readers, and (b) accept and review manuscript submissions from prospective authors.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or using the Site under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, to create an account or place an order. By using the Site, you represent that you meet this requirement.
4. Account Registration and Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and to keep it updated.
- Notify us immediately at info@chronitionpublication.co.in if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, violate these Terms, or are used for fraudulent or abusive purposes.
5. Manuscript Submissions
- By submitting a manuscript through "Publish with Us", you represent that the work is your own original creation (or that you hold the necessary rights to submit it), and that it does not infringe any third party's copyright or other rights.
- Submitting a manuscript does not guarantee publication. Our editorial team reviews submissions at its sole discretion and may accept, reject, or request revisions to any submission.
- You retain ownership of your intellectual property in a submitted manuscript unless and until a separate written publishing agreement is signed between you and Chronition Publication governing the specific terms of publication, royalties, and rights.
- We may retain records of submissions (including declined ones) for internal editorial and record-keeping purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, the Chronition Publication name and branding, and the compilation of the catalog — is the property of Chronition Publication or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Published books remain the intellectual property of their respective authors and/or Chronition Publication, as governed by the applicable publishing agreement. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content without our prior written permission, except as necessary to make a personal purchase.
7. Orders, Pricing & Payment
- All prices displayed on the Site are in Indian Rupees (₹) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, and to cancel and refund any order affected by a pricing or listing error.
- Payment may be made via Cash on Delivery, Bank Transfer, or online payment (cards/UPI/net-banking) through our payment gateway partner, Razorpay, where enabled. Online payments are subject to Razorpay's own terms and security measures.
- An order is confirmed only once you receive an order confirmation from us; receipt of payment does not by itself guarantee stock availability.
8. Shipping and Delivery
We aim to dispatch and deliver orders within a reasonable time frame, but delivery timelines are estimates and not guaranteed, as they depend in part on third-party courier services. We are not liable for delays caused by courier partners, incorrect address information provided by you, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
9. Cancellations and Refunds
Order cancellations, returns, and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
10. User Conduct
When using the Site, you agree not to: violate any applicable law; infringe the intellectual property or other rights of any person; upload or submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringing; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, other accounts, or our systems; or use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Site without our written permission.
11. Reviews and User-Generated Content
If you submit a book review or other content to the Site, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce, and use that content in connection with the Site and our marketing. We reserve the right to moderate, edit, or remove any submitted content at our discretion, including reviews that are abusive, fraudulent, or unrelated to the book in question.
12. Third-Party Services
The Site relies on third-party services, including our payment gateway (Razorpay) and courier partners. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or terms of service of these third parties, though we select them with reasonable care.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. 14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Chronition Publication shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site or purchase of any book, whether based on contract, tort, or any other legal theory. Our total liability for any claim arising from a purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant order.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chronition Publication, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claim, liability, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your submission of content that infringes a third party's rights.
16. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site or your account, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in unlawful or harmful conduct. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to Section 18 below, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at [Your City], India.
18. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within a reasonable time, either party may pursue resolution through the courts identified in Section 17, or through consumer dispute redressal mechanisms available under Indian law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
